Behind-the-scenes

This spot was shot on the Mini LF paired with the DZO Arles Primes. We were going for a narrative feel with a touch of documentary breathe, and all of the shots were either handheld or on sticks.

For the studio setup, we used mostly Aputure LEDs to light the set. The approach was to light for the entire space - which we used an XT52 and a 1200X bounce onto ultrabounces for sky ambiance, and 2 XT26’s to mimic the sunrays. We also had an overhead softbox made out of 6 Nova P300C’s to actively adjust the ambiance levels when needed.

For exteriors, we had an 18K FilmGear HMI as our main sun source, and XT52’s and XT26’s as well as negative fills to shape lights.
