Behind-the-scenes

In this project, we used the ZCam E2 as the main camera, paired with the Canon 24-105mm f/4 via a 0.71x speedbooster and the SIgma 19mm f/2.8. We shot the short either very smoothly or with locked-off movements, so we either flew it on the Ronin-S or had it placed on sticks. Thanks to the camera’s small size, we managed to build it in a way that allowed us to be very quick when shifting from gimbal to tripod. Sam, our AC, pulled focus using the Nucleus Nano and had a phone connected to the ZCam app as the monitor - it doesn’t get much more indie than this! Luckily, the wifi signal was plenty good and provided quite a smooth feed, and focus peaking in the app was phenomenal. For lighting, we had 2 Amaran 200d, 1 Godox ML60, and a small LED panel. They were all softboxes and gridded.
